Sailing Vessel Restored for
The Newport Harbor Maritime Museum
The photos below depict the "before" and "after" conditions
of a sailing vessel painting owned by The Newport Harbor Maritime Museum. Mike was
employed as the art restorer to work on this painting.
To the left is the "before" condition of the painting. Note that
there are tears and that the painting has only been partially cleaned.
To the right is the "after" condition of
the painting.Note as a
skilled art restorer, Mike has repaired all the tears and thoroughly cleaned the
painting to make it much brighter and clearer.
Both Mike and the Maritime Museum were
delighted with the final result. Mike is very capable of repairing the tears, and
because he is also such a good painter, Mike is able to do the
the repainting that is required. This is another fine example of
Mike's ability as an art restorer of detailed paintings. Challenge Mike by having
him take a look at your painting that needs restoring. He will be happy to
give you an estimate.
