Restoration of Oil Painting on Canvas
19th Century
This 19th Century oil painting on canvas suffered buckling and
discoloration of
the surface and degrading of the old varnish layer. Michael and his staff restored,
inpainted, and re-varnished the painting.

If you are wondering why the "After Restoration" looks as if
its corners are chopped
off, what you are seeing are simply white triangular pockets to protect the corners
before the painting is hung.
Michael can make remarkable changes as an art restorer to oil
paintings to return them to the condition in which the artist intended them to look.
As an art restorer, Mike can also repair a severely damaged painting with holes,
tears, flaking paint, fire damage etc. If you own artwork that has suffered the
ravages of time or misfortune, why not see what he can do for you?
