Early Background
Mike was born in Indiana and raised in Southern California.
Many, many years ago, when Mike was in grade school, he discovered that his
favorite class was "art", and not only that, he was good at it! In high
school, he
took various shop classes as electives and discovered his talent for making
and repairing shop projects.
Academically, he was fascinated with archaeology and studied
that subject at UCLA. With this background and interests, how could
Mike select any career other than that of art restorer and picture framer?
Current Experience, Training and Interests
Now Mike has over 30 years of experience in these areas.
As he increased his knowledge as an art restorer and conservation picture framer,
he quite naturally become a skilled art
appraiser.

You would be correct in noticing Mike's extensive traveling.
He enjoys working and studying throughout the world. But his roots are still in
California, especially Los Angeles, Pasadena and Toluca Lake.
The Huntington Library

the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA, which is close to his home.
Mike and Gina
On the right is one of Mike's
very good
friends. Her name is Gina, and she is part Jack Russell and part Italian Greyhound.
One might think that a frisky dog like Gina wouldn't do well in the exacting world of
art restoration. But she's the best! Gina is gentle, loves meeting Mike's clients
and enjoys watching Mike labor over his art restoration projects. Gina spends her
leisure time, which is 24 hours a day, relaxing, dining and
napping in the California sun. Here she is in her favorite patio lounge chair
appreciating the "good life." Does Gina enjoy her luxurious lifestyle and the
attention she gets?
You bet she does!
Mike's Other Really Interesting Pastimes
Mike has a passion in which he truly excels. But one has to
see him in person to really appreciate it. Take a guess. Mike is an outstanding
body builder and works out at the gym almost everyday. If one didn't know how
kind and low-key he is, one would wisely avoid all physical disputes.
Meet him and check those muscles!
Of course, even body builders aren't perfect in their nutrition.
Roman Holiday
After a long day of meeting with artists and shopkeepers,
Mike enjoys a little time for himself. Here he is at his best -- relaxing
in a cafe with a latte and a soda! That might even be a glass of ale in the
foreground.
